Claasen Shipyards is thrilled to announce more race success for the company as sailing yacht Firefly wins the Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta, which took place in the fabulous Sardinia yacht charter destination – Porto Cervo from June 3 to 7, 2014. The victory of superyacht Firefly follows Lionheart yacht’s recent victory at the inaugural Menorca Maxi Regatta.

Luxury yacht Firefly, which has just been listed for sale, performed consistently throughout the regatta and proved unbeatable, winning all four of her races. This impressive result earned her the Boat International Media Silver Jubilee Cup as the overall winner of the event.
The Firefly yacht set the standard to beat through the event, with enviable teamwork from her crew. Firefly’s owner was extremely proud of the win, and of the team that raced her to victory. “We’ve been practicing for three seasons now and we stick together really well,” he said. “We were very much aiming for our achievements, and I’m delighted not so much for myself but for the team who made it all happen.”
The first of the new F-Class of yachts, Firefly superyacht was designed by Hoek Design and launched in 2011 and has become known not just for her classic lines and modern lines but also for her speed. Her asking price is € 3.850.000 (VAT paid).
