Riviera has received written notification on Friday June 25, 2010 from the company’s Deed Administrators that the Deed of Company Arrangement (DOCA) established in conjunction with Riviera’s creditors on January 22 this year has now been completed and thus Riviera has now officially exited from Administration.
The British Marine Federation (BMF) and the RYA were delighted to be among the first organisations to host a reception in the House of Commons early in the new Parliament yesterday (23 June 2010). It was an opportunity to meet some of the newly elected MPs as well as to thank re-elected parliamentarians for their support throughout the year. The recent election saw a large increase of new MPs entering Parliament and the reception allowed the BMF and RYA to educate and inform many of them on the £3 billion marine industry; highlighting its considerable contribution to the economy.

he British Marine Federation (BMF) was pleased, yesterday to welcome Alan Morgan to Marine House as its new President. Alan Morgan is handed presidency of the BMF by outgoing President, Jon Eads CMM. During his time as President, Jon has led the BMF to a number of successes including securing amendments to the recently instated Marine and Coastal Access Act, maintaining a membership figure in the region of 1500 and strengthening both the PSP Southampton and Tullett Prebon London International Boat Shows, despite challenging circumstances.
