Paul van Maanen (48) has joined Van der Velden® Marine Systems as Executive Vice President. He brings with him years of experience as a Managing Director in the shipbuilding and aircraft industries. Van Maanen will join the Corporate Executive Board and be co-responsible for the overall operation and management of the entire Van der Velden group of companies.

Palumbo Shipyard, an Italian company headquartered in Naples, signed a 30 year deal with the Malta government for the acquisition of Malta Super Yacht Services (MSYS) now called Palumbo Malta Shipyard. Palumbo Group has taken over the yard this week, after having been declared the preferred bidder for the tender to acquire Malta Superyacht Services in late 2010.

There will be numerous activities, including fashion parades, skipper training, female focused lunches with entertainment and giveaways.
