At the prestigious Showboats International Design Awards 2010, Dixon Yacht Design picked up not one, but two, awards for the Performance Yachts PY-100, sailing yacht Liara’.
Performance Yachts picked up two prestigious awards last night at the Showboats Design Awards 2010 in Florida. Awards were presented to sailing yacht Liara for the Naval Architecture by Dixon Yacht Design and the modern technology on the Performance Yachts highly innovative lifting keel.
The inaugural ShowBoats Design Awards took place last night at the exclusive Mar A Lago Club, Donald Trump’s private members club in Palm Beach, Florida. Following a two-day Superyacht Design Symposium, 350 guests gathered for an evening of cocktails, a gala dinner and Awards ceremony honoring the Superyacht industry’s creative talents; the architects, designers, stylists, craftsmen, and innovators in yacht technologies.
With more than 200 nominations for The Showboat Design Awards 2010, it was an incredibly tough task for the experienced panel, however the 2010 winners have been selected.
Azimut Yachts chose the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2010 for the debut in the United States of the new Azimut 53 motor yacht, the model awarded “Motorboat of the Year 2010” by a selected team of journalists and the UK magazine Motorboat & Yachting. Out of a total of 132 products entered in this year’s prestigious DAME – Design Award METS competition, the DAME Jury has nominated 63 from which the overall and category winners will be chosen. The competition is held every year in conjunction with METS inc. SuperYacht Pavilion.
Simrad Yachting received two awards at the 2010 Newport International Boat Show. The Simrad NSE navigation system with 2.0 software was named “Best New Boating Product” and Simrad Yachting received the Five Star Award for its “Best in Show” booth display.
