100 superyacht nominations have been whittled down to an outstanding list of 62 World Superyacht Awards 2011 Finalists who are in contention to receive a coveted Neptune Trophy. An independent jury comprised of 14 superyacht owners will meet in March at Porto Montenegro, located at Tivat in the picturesque Bay of Kotor, to decide which yachts will receive a prized Neptune Award in 2011.
Royal Caribbean International’s Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas have been named on Frommer’s Best Cruise Ships of 2011 list. Pendennis hosted its annual awards afternoon in recognition of the significant achievements of its apprentices. The Pendennis Annual Apprentice Awards saw 50 certificates presented, which included NVQs Level 2 and 3, City and Guilds Technical certificates and RYA sailing qualifications handed out by George Moore, commodore of Pendennis shipyard’s sailing club.

Today, British yachtsman Geoff Holt MBE won the coveted title of YJA Pantaenius Yachtsman of the Year for 2010. The announcement was made at an awards ceremony held at Trinity House, London. Southampton based Geoff, 44, became the first quadriplegic to sail across the Atlantic when he sailed into the British Virgin Islands on January 7th 2010.
