METS 2014 a Huge Success

This year’s Marine Equipment Trade Show (METS) exceeded all the expectations and set the tone for the marine equipment sector. The event welcomed 1,358 exhibitors from 48 countries, along with 21,086 visitors.

NZ Marine has unveiled a streamlined clearance process for foreign flagged yachts, wishing to charter in New Zealand waters. The new process removes the need for a bond, with an owner’s written guarantee to leave New Zealand waters after 24 months, now satisfactory.

First ONE15 Christmas Boat Light Parade comes to an end

The inaugural Christmas Boat Light Parade, held on 6 and 13 December 2014, saw a flotilla of 21 various sized and shaped yachts, superyachts and a mega yacht cruising from ONEº15 Marina Club to HarbourFront Cruise Bay and back.

Partnership of DMCA and Dubai Chamber to consolidate Dubai’s leadership on the global economic map

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been recently signed by Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The agreement’s strategic priorities include cooperation in maritime arbitration and investment in human capacity building.

The International SeaKeepers Society returns from successful shark tagging expedition aboard motor yacht FUGITIVE and super yacht QING

Last month, The International SeaKeepers Society returned from a successful shark tagging expedition aboard the 125′ Northcoast super yacht Fugitive and the 150′ Cheoy Lee motor yacht Qing, supporting the University of Miami and National Geographic. The expedition took place at Tiger Beach, a lovely Bahamas yacht charter destination.
