May 12 will see the start of the City of Venice Trophy – an invitational regatta organised by the yacht club Venice Compagnia della Vela, offering €50,000 in prize money to its winner. Strong winds arrived today in the fabulous Caribbean yacht charter location – Antigua – playing host to this year´s Antigua Sailing Week. Today´s Guadeloupe to Antigua Race has been won by Verlarde’s NM92 sailing yacht Locura, followed by Stephen Schmidt’s Santa Cruz 70 yacht Hotel California Too, taking second place and the Dufour 45 yacht Triskell placing 3rd. Ross Applebey’s Oyster 48 yacht Scarlet Oyster has won the Racing Division of the ARC.
