Saturday 30th June 2011 saw a new entry to the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race: the 49.5m charter yacht Eleonora, launched in March 2000 by the Dutch Van der Graaf shipyard. Mapfre PalmaVela 2012´s overall winner has become the Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on their TP52 yacht, making her debut in this opening regatta of the 2012 season. The Azzurra team has been followed respectively by Quantum Racing, Ran and Gladiator teams.
