Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race: Day 15 – New York wins Ocean Sprint

Day 14 of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race saw all ten teams completing the Ocean Sprint phase of Race 10 to Panama, with the overall winner – the American team, New York, successfully reaching the finish line in 31 hours 57 minutes and 56 seconds at 13:20:22 UTC yesterday.

Antigua Sailing Week 2012: The forecasted big breeze arrives

Strong winds arrived today in the fabulous Caribbean yacht charter location – Antigua – playing host to this year´s Antigua Sailing Week. Today´s Guadeloupe to Antigua Race has been won by Verlarde’s NM92 sailing yacht Locura, followed by Stephen Schmidt’s Santa Cruz 70 yacht Hotel California Too, taking second place and the Dufour 45 yacht Triskell placing 3rd. Ross Applebey’s Oyster 48 yacht Scarlet Oyster has won the Racing Division of the ARC.

Half of the fleet brought to the end the Ocean Sprint on Day 14 of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race, with Geraldton Western Australia setting new time to beat in the Ocean Sprint.

The inaugural MOD70 trans-oceanic KRYS OCEAN RACE set for July 7, 2012

The new MOD70 trans-oceanic KRYS OCEAN RACE was proudly presented for the very first time yesterday at the French Consulate in New York, as the start city to this race, set for July 7, 2012. The race is expected to be attended by the world´s best sailors, with the finish line in Brest, France between 13 and 14 July 2012.

Swan yachts attended the Mapfre PalmaVela yacht regatta

Swan yachts, including the Swan 60 sailing yacht Emma, the Yacht Club of St. Petersburg´s Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, as well as the Swan 80 superyacht Alpina were present at this year´s Mapfre PalmaVela regatta. Emma took 3rd place, Bronenosec came 7th, while Alpina 9th.

Yachting World Round Antigua Race to kick off on Saturday 28 April

One of the best Caribbean yacht charter destinations – Antigua – will play host to the Yachting World Round Antigua Race, starting this Saturday 28 April. The 43 spectacular vessels competing in this popular race include the 63ft trimaran yacht Paradox, the Farr 115 charter yacht Sojana, as well as the Tripp 75 yacht Blackbird.

Venice America’s Cup World Series, May 15-20, 2012

America’s Cup World Series is now moving from Naples to Venice, Italy for the penultimate yacht regatta, running from May 15 to 20, 2012.
