November 2014 will be marked by the start of the new Transatlantic Race from Canary Islands to the Caribbean, announced by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC).
The America’s Cup Superyacht Regatta 2013 has been won by the majestic superyacht Adela, built by Pendennis to a design by Dykstra Naval Architects. The Showboat award went to the Royal Huisman yacht Athena for her spectacular display during the event.
It has been a great success for the Dykstra-refitted superyacht Velsheda at this year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup in Sardinia’s Porto Cervo. She was victorious in the J-Class race, followed by Rainbow yacht and charter yacht Ranger, respectively.
The forthcoming Rolex Middle Sea Race 2013 will mark the end of the Mediterranean sailing season. To be hosted by the lovely yacht charter destination – Malta, the event is expected to be attended by more than 100 international yachts.

The overall winners of the Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge 2013 Mediterranean Circuit have become sailing yacht Cambria in the Bog Boat class, Leonore yacht in the Vintage class and Il Moro di Venezia yacht in the Classic class.
The Challenger of Record for the 35th America’s Cup has become the Hamilton Island Yacht Club. Its Australian team will represent all challengers in dealings with the defender Oracle Team USA of Golden Gate Yacht Club, San Francisco.
The next year’s 34th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta 2014 is now open for registration via the official website. To be once again hosted by the popular Caribbean yacht charter location – St Maarten, the event will run from March 6 to 9, 2014.

The last day of this year’s 35th Régates Royales de Cannes – Trophée Panerai was full of action. Luxury yacht Moonbeam of Fife III was victorious in the Big Boats class.
This year’s popular Les Voiles de Saint Tropez is to kick off today, on September 28. The event will be attended by 115 Classic yachts, 160 Modern boats, 18 Tofinous, 8 Code 0s, as well as 13 Wallys, including the majestic 100-foot superyacht Nomade IV, designed by Finot Conq.
Racing has taken place on the same course as yesterday, with the Big Boats running into conditions good enough to finish the 23 mile long coastal course at the 35th Régates Royales de Cannes – Trophée Panerai.
