Starting tomorrow from Porto Cervo at 12 midday, the preparations for this year’s Audi Sardinia Cup are well underway. Hosted by the prestigious Yacht Club Costa Smeralda, there will be an international fleet of TP52 and Soto 40 racing yachts, competing in this popular race.
Day 1 of this year’s Westward Cup in Cowes, UK saw the 42m superyacht Mariette take the top position, followed by the 38m luxury yacht Mariquita and the 41.5m charter yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora) respectively.

Running from June 28 to July 1, the Newport America’s Cup World Series will decide about its inaugural champion on the final day of racing. Currently taking the top position on the leaderboard is the ORACLE TEAM USA, followed by Artemis Racing.

A second day of inshore racing in the Giraglia Rolex Cup 2012 started today, with the participation of the largest and fastest boat on display, the 100ft superyacht Esimit Europa 2 as well as the Rolex Vulcano Race winner, the 62ft sailing yacht Jethou.
Race 12 from New York to Nova Scotia of the Clipper 11-12 Round the World Yacht Race draws to a close, with Gold Coast Australia crossing the finish line this morning.

The Audi Sardinia Cup 2012 fleet began the training today, warmly welcome by Audi Azzurra Sailing Team and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda. The race will kick off with the practice race on Tuesday 12 June, with racing until Sunday 17 June.
