ISS Announces 2011 Fort Lauderdale Events

As the International Superyacht Society (ISS) enters its third decade celebrating yacht design and industry leadership—the only superyacht industry awards program based purely on peer review and selection—it is pleased to announce the 2011 Awards Gala theme: Launchings!The Society—presently in its 22nd year as the voice of the global large yacht industry—also hosts a number of memorable annual events during the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show.

The American Superyacht Forum returns to Fort Lauderdale

The largest conference in the world dedicated to the American superyacht industry will return to Fort Lauderdale after a six-year hiatus. The American Superyacht Forum, in its ninth successful year and previously held at locations including Rhode Island and Seattle, will be held over three days at the Hilton Marina in Fort Lauderdale from 16 to 18 May.

26th Annual Palm Beach International Boat Show a success

Antigua Sailing Week 2011: Maxi Priest to perform live

Les Voiles de St. Barth 2011: Day 2 Déja vu all over again

The warm tropical breeze and clear blue sky is not lost on the sailors here at Les Voiles de St. Barth – especially those from the colder climes of the U.S. where spring has not quite yet sprung. Even normally jaded professional sailors were waxing on about the conditions here. Today offered 15 – 16 knots of breeze and a much reduced sea from yesterday, when many boats returned to the quay to lick their wounds and effect repairs, which included torn sails, broken head foils, and damaged rigging.

Les Voiles de Saint Barth 2011: Day 1

The first day of racing at the 2nd edition of Les Voiles de St. Barth dawned with 25 knots of tropical tradewind breeze and showers sweeping over the picturesque French island located midway down the Caribbean chain. The regatta’s fleet of maxis, racing and cruising yachts, multi-hulls and classics – 48 confirmed on race day – set off on a race course around the nearby archipelago, and met with plenty of wind and bumpy seas, especially on the islands’ exposed eastern side.

2011 Hainan Rendezvous: A 5 Star Success for Azimut Yachts

The most important boat show in the Asian world came to an end several hours ago: the 2011 edition of the Hainan Rendez-vous. In confirmation of its leadership in Asia and, specifically, on the Chinese Market, Azimut Yachts, represented by it five Official Dealers, celebrated the sale of its fifth boat during the Boat Show – actually, the eighth boat, if one considers the three boats sold in the run-up to the Boat Show.

The Perini Navi Group is pleased to announce that the fourth edition of the Perini Navi Cup, a regatta dedicated exclusively to sailing yachts built by Perini Navi, will be held from September 1 – 4 in Porto Cervo, Sardinia.

SD122 Motor Yacht Feluca launched by San Lorenzo

The SD122 Motor Yacht Feluca has been launched by Italian superyacht builder San Lorenzo at their shipyard in Viareggio. The 38m Yacht Feluca is from the SD122 line and is the fourth SD122 yacht to be launched by San Lorenzo. Superyacht Feluca is a semi-displacement yacht featuring naval architecture by San Lorenzo’s inhouse design team and exterior styling by Francesco Paszkowski.
