Alloy Yachts are beginning construction on motor yacht AY44, a 39m Explorer Yacht designed by Rene Van der Velden with interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
On the 30th of June 2010, the Knight & Carver Yacht Center in San Diego, California took delivery a superyacht dry dock called ‘Diligence’ for its refit and repair operations.
Burger Boat Company may lay off approximately 70 employees during the next six months. These layoffs will be in addition to a series of small layoffs that have occurred over the last several months. The company is positive and continues to seek new projects, which could minimize layoffs and make the notice to lay off the employees a moot point.
Overmarine, the Viareggio, Italy based superyacht builder have presented preliminary designs of their latest project, the Mangusta 148 Oceano. The Mangusta 148 Oceano is 45.5 m and will be powered dual MTU 12V4000 M53R diesel engines able to provide a top speed of 15 knots. The Mangusta 148 Oceano is Overmarine’s first displacement trideck motor yacht.
The Numarine Open Day 2010 event was held on the 8th, 9th and 10th of July 2010. Guest from all over the world joined the event, that has been held for the third time with a great success.
Eel Kant has been appointed as the managing director at the Jongert Shipyard as of 1st July 2010. Mr Kant was the Managing Director of Oceanco for about 7 years, from 2003 to 2010. Kant is very positive about the yards survival after the worldwide financial crisis.
Filippetti Yachts was created by Fausto Filippetti and his children Martina and Giovanni in a futuristic building in Mondolfo, in the Province of Pesaro and Urbino, Italy. The yacht builder creates 20-30 metre motor yachts.
Bilgin Yachts launched their new Bilgin 123 model motor yacht Tee-Dje on the 3rd of July 2010. The yacht has been designed by the Bilgin Yachts themselves with the interior design by H2 Yacht Design. Tee-Dje Yacht can accommodate up to 8 guests in four cabins and a crew of 6 in three cabins, as well as offering one Captains cabin. She is due to reach her owner at the end of July 2010.
Superyacht Ulysses was launched by the Benetti Shipyard in Italy in June 2010.
The yachts are code named superyachts “Deputy Dog” and “Perfect Pursuit”. Also, last week Christensen Shipyards took delivery of a 46m (150ft) superyacht Ocean Alexander mould at the Washington shipyard.
Oceanco is pleased to announce its continued presence at the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show from September 22-25 at Port Hercules in the Principality of Monaco.
