WIDER yacht is the new challenge taken on by Tilli Antonelli and his team. The project is completely innovative, incorporating latest technology and design, but mostly taking new routes and following unique ideas.
Burnett Yacht Design together with Arkin Pruva Argos Yachts in Antalya, Turkey are working on the construction of design no. 141, a new 83’ (25m) Schooner for a British client. The 25m superyacht is scheduled for completion in May 2011.
Italy’s Azimut-Benetti Group will open its own boatyard in Brazil with a production area of 200,000 square metres next month. Paolo Vitelli, President of Azimut-Benetti Group, announced the recently founded Azimut do Brasil Yachts, will manage the production of Azimut branded yachts, at a site in Itajaì, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina.
‘Wider Yachts’ have been launched by Tilli Antonelli, who founded the Pershing brand of yachts in 1985. The ‘Wider’ names is derived from the fact that the mid-section of the 42-foot open cockpit boat can be extended port and starboard to double the usable surface and significantly increase the yacht’s stability.
Boatbuilding with Advanced Composites seminar held on the 15th July 2010 saw 64 representatives from major British boat building companies joined the event.

The 46-meter Zeus 150, due to launch in 2011, will represent the start of a new range of yachts for Sunseeker, the Zeus line, which will be followed by the 50-meter Zeus 164 in 2012, with designs for even larger models planned for the future.
Hull number 109, the latest Alloy 40 is in build at the Sanlorenzo yard. She will be the 6th hull in the yards Alloy 40 superyacht series. Sanlorenzo launched of Superyacht Lena, the 5th hull of the 40 Alloy series in July and the 4th 40 Alloy series Superyacht Claudia in April.
North Carolina’s Hatteras Yachts is growing in Craven County as Hatteras is to create 350 jobs and invest $4.7 million in the coming five years there.

The 57.5m sailing yacht Twizzle was launched and named on Monday 12 July 2010 in Harlingen in Northern Holland and had her Mizzen and Main masts stepped the same day.
