Pendennis and Devonport continue to thrive with an increasing number of enquiries for refits at the joint facilities in Falmouth. Pendennis boasts 20+ years experience and over 150 refit projects in the portfolio, and along with Devonport’s expertise in the 60m+ market, the companies have joined forces to expand the offering at Pendennis’ base in the UK. As such they are co-exhibiting at the 2011 Antibes Yacht Show that runs from the 7th-10th April, during which a dedicated team will be on hand to discuss all refit needs.
Luxury motor yacht builder Gulf Craft, based in the United Arab Emirates, announced at the Dubai Boat Show a new partnership deal with Italian equipment manufacturer Quick Srl. Under the agreement, Quick will be the supplier of equipment for Gulf Craft’s new 95ft Gulf 95 EXP motor yacht with the concept of ‘comfortable living on the water’ at its heart.
Heesen Yachts have launched motor yacht Quinta Essentia – a 55m superyacht. The newest superyacht from Heesen’s Yard in Holland had an official launching ceremony on Friday the 11th of March 2011. The 55m semi-displacement motor yacht Quinta Essentia (build number YN 14955) features naval architecture by Van Oossanen in conjunction with the Heesen in-house designers, interior design layout by the renowned Ken Freivokh, with interior design by Michela Reverberi and exterior design by Frank Laupman of Omega.
MCP Yachts recently signed contracts for the construction of two Classic 76 motor yachts (hulls 086 and 087). Both Vessels are entering the structural phase, at MCP yard with the aluminum plates being cut by MCP CNC plasma cutting machine.

Yacht KATARA is a Lurssen built 124.4 metre (408’14”) superyacht with naval architecture designed by the Lurssen in-house naval architects, and exterior design by the celebrated design team Espen Oeino International based in Monaco. Nautor’s Swan is heralding the coming of Spring this year with the 8th annual edition of the highly popular cruising calendar event, ‘the ClubSwan Caribbean Rendezvous’. At 198’, Trinity’s newest superyacht, the tri-deck motor yacht Areti, launched last week as the longest aluminum yacht to date from the renowned American boat builder. With considerable fanfare, owner’s representative, Captain Ted Kavalieros and Billy Smith met on board to celebrate her move from land to water; final outfitting will be completed in coming months with her delivery date scheduled for early summer 2011.
A 66 metre sailing superyacht, hull number 3063 splashed into the waters at the Vitters shipyard in Zwartsluis, The Netherlands, on Thursday 3rd March. This 66 metre super sloop is largest superyacht Vitters has launched to date and was designed by Dubois Naval Architects with interior design by Redman Whiteley Dixon.
