The leading British luxury yacht builder, Sunseeker International, has proudly announced that the Chairman of its parent company, the Wanda Group, was awarded with a top accolade at the recent Shanghai Asian Marine and Boat Awards.
The Taiwan Excellence Gold Award 2014 went to the Horizon EP148 expedition yacht Horizon Polaris at the 22nd Taiwan Excellence Awards. This striking vessel combines style, stability, safety, as well as luxury.
Finnish boatyard, Oy Nautor Ab, is currently working on the first superyacht Swan 105 RS by Nautor’s Swan. Designed by German Frers with interior design by Beiderbeck Design, she is scheduled for launch and delivery in time for sailing this summer.
It is a very busy period for the premier Dutch luxury yacht builder, AMELS. It has currently nine luxury yachts at its yard in Vlissingen. The impressive 83-metre mega yacht AMELS 272 is presently in the engineering and build process.
Admiral Tecnomar – Yachting Hub of The Italian Sea Group has proudly announced the keel laying of two new luxury vessels: superyacht ‘E Motion 52’ and ‘E Motion 55’ yacht. Delivery of both superyachts is scheduled for summer 2016.
On April 11, Sunseeker hosted its 5th annual Captains Party in Golfe Juan, Cannes. The event was marked by the launch of the ‘SYM’ office, as well as exclusive tours of the Sunseeker motor yacht ‘Black Knight’ and ‘Lady Laura’ yacht, both available for sale.
Following construction of the 1969 sailing yacht ‘Running Tide’, Royal Huisman has been commissioned to build a new luxury yacht, representing the 35th project to be built by the premier Dutch shipyard and designed by Sparkman & Stephens.
The premier Middle Eastern luxury yacht builder, Gulf Craft, will hold the very first leisure marine show in Oman, set to run in Almouj Marina from May 1 to 3, 2014. Superyacht Majesty 135 will be the largest vessel on show during the event.
Phase 1 of the Pendennis yard’s major redevelopment project will be completed this month. Phase 2 is due to be completed in Spring 2015, transforming the UK yard into one of the most impressive facilities in the world.
Pendennis has recently lifted the impressive superyacht Mariette with its new 640-tonne travel hoist. She is presently undergoing some minor works at the UK yard, before participating in this year’s Pendennis Cup.
The spectacular 2002 superyacht Borkumriff IV has confirmed her participation in this year’s Superyacht Cup in Palma. This beautiful 51-metre sloop was built by Royal Huisman and designed by Dykstra Naval Architects. She will be the largest yacht to compete this year.
Date for this year’s fourth Shipwrights’ Lecture for marine apprentices, young shipwrights and marine graduates has been announced. The event will take place at the Turner Sims Hall, University of Southampton, on Wednesday, October 15, at 14.30.
