Mehmet Karabeyoglu of the Turkish based Proteksan Turquoise Shipyard has joined with Stuart Larsen of Fraser Yachts and Tim Wiltshire of Burgess to commission Andrew Winch Designs to develop a new flexible 74-meter motor yacht design based on the Proteksan Turquoise 70+m platform. The new 74-meter mega yacht design has two exterior design variations as well as a collection of variations within the interior plan.
The value of the superyacht industry increased slightly during 2009-10, despite the challenging effects of the recession. The superyacht industry has increased 3% from the previous year’s revenue and is now worth just over £420 million a year according to the latest statistics.
