Palumbo Malta Superyachts is prepared to welcome Superyachts in its renewed facility. The Yard is currently hosting three luxurious vessels, one of which measures impressive 110 meters in length.

New Owner for Drettmann-refitted motor yacht Bandido 75 of ex Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher

Last Saturday saw the new owner take over his new luxury yacht Bandido 75, previously owned by ex Formula 1 star Ralf Schumacher. The vessel has been beautifully refitted by Drettmann Yachts from Germany and is currently on the way to the lovely Mediterranean yacht charter location – Spain.

Sailing yacht M5’s 89m mast re-stepped at Pendennis by Marine Results

Having lasted 5 hours and mainly in darkness, the re-stepping of the luxury yacht M5’s impressive 89m mast, managed by Marine Results, took place at Pendennis on last Saturday, October 19, 2013. Over the next few days, her full carbon fibre and titanium rig will be put in place, using the same optical fibre technology installed on the America’s Cup catamarans.

New General Manager for Pendennis Palma

Richard Hudson has become a new General Manager of the Pendennis Palma yacht refit facility. He has collaborated with Pendennis Palma on the refit of charter yacht Margaret Ann and many others.

Maintenance works on 40m Hakvoort Yacht APOSTROPHE performed by Tankoa Yachts

Based in Italy’s Genoa, Tankoa Yachts had carried out some refitting works on the 40m Hakvoort superyacht Apostrophe, just in time before her participation in the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show. The vessel was re-launched on September 21.

Ron Holland-designed sailing yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) afloat and re-rigged

After her extensive refit at Pendennis in the UK, the impressive 78-metre mega yacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) is now afloat and re-rigged. Originally penned by Ron Holland, she is expected to cruise the azure waters of the popular yacht charter destination – the South Pacific in 2014.

New 57m Swiftship Superyacht Refit for Burgess Marine Portchester

Britain’s largest independent ship repairer, Burgess Marine, will work on an extensive refit of a 57m 1992 Swiftship yacht. This will include structural, mechanical and electrical works and is expected to last 8 – 9 months.

Currently under refit at Derecktor Florida, the classic 150-foot superyacht The Highlander by Feadship is scheduled for re-launch in late November. The refit includes re-furbishment of the engine room, new interior, as well as hull extension.

Derecktor Florida-refitted The Big Blue Yacht undergoes sea trials

Following an extensive refit at Derecktor Florida, the 147-foot expedition yacht The Big Blue (ex Imbros) by Troy Marine left the yard to go through sea trials on September 12, performing just as she was expected to.

Interview with Captain of Moonen 94 Yacht INFINITY refitted by Endeavour Quay

Originally launched by Moonen shipyard in 2007, the Moonen 94 superyacht Infinity has been beautifully reffited by Endeavour Quay. The well known UK refit facility did an interview with the Captain of Inifnity, expressing his satisfaction with the works performed on the vessel.
