Daimler AG and Rolls-Royce launch public tender offer for Tognum AG

Daimler AG and Rolls-Royce Group plc today launched their voluntary public offer for the majority of Tognum AG through their 50:50 joint venture Engine Holding GmbH. Further to the announcement issued on March 9, 2011 the offer document has been approved by the Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin).

Baileys Marine opens White Bay 6 fuel facility on Sydney Harbour

Judges announced for the 2011 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards.

The Australian International Marine Export Group (AIMEX) has announced the judging panel for the 2011 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export Awards. It is important to maintain some consistency in regard to the judging of these awards stated AIMEX CEO MaryAnne Edwards. The judges will this year be Barry Jenkins, Iain Murray, John Savage, Ken Evans and Peter Ironmonger.

Motor yacht Diamond A receives New Exhaust

Motor yacht Diamond A, a 57,30m (187′ 11″) superyacht built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 1998, suffered breathing problems. Her main stainless steel exhaust had corroded over time and her genset drystacks spilled soot. She needed help. Marine Exhaust Systems’ technical experts cured yacht Diamond A’s troubles with custom units that now have her breathing easy, in a crunch project of less than 6 weeks.
