Racing Day 2 of the 3rd Pendennis Cup saw much lighter as well as changeable winds. At the moment, superyacht Unfurled leads in Class 2, while the overall winner in Class 3 is currently Firebrand yacht.
A closely fought battle was seen on the water during the first day of racing at the 2012 Pendennis Cup, with luxury yacht Mariette of 1915 taking the top position in Class 2, The Pendennis Cup Class, while Mikado yacht is currently leading in Class 3, The Little Dennis Classic Class.
The 2012 J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race yachts gradually complete the race, with around 400 teams still competing. The largest yacht ever competing in this popular race, the 162ft luxury yacht Eleonora E (ex Eleonora), took 47th place in IRC 0 class.
Hosted by the Island Sailing Club, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race prizegiving rewarded charter yacht ICAP Leopard with Observer Trophy, while Gold Roman Bowl went to Manroland Sheetfed yacht and Silver Roman Bowl to Sundowner yacht.
With the official prizegiving taking place at the Island Sailing Club on Sunday 1 July, the 81st J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race has unveiled its winners. The prominent Gold Roman Bowl for first boat overall on IRC handicap went to Tony Langley’s TP52 sailing yacht Manroland Sheetfed. Charter yacht ICAP Leopard completed the race in 03hrs, 59mins and 04secs.
The overall winner of the 2012 J Class Regatta in Falmouth has become the luxury charter yacht Ranger, followed by superyachts Velsheda and Lionheart, respectively. The J Class beauties are now getting ready to compete in the upcoming J Class Solent Regatta, starting on July 18.

Following the six-month refit at the Oyster Group’s Southampton Yacht Service, the 100ft supermaxi charter yacht Leopard 3 now boasts a new, beautiful interior. This splendid vessel is now preparing to race in the upcoming J P Morgan Round the Island Race, starting on Saturday 30 June.
