Ron Holland has once again participated in this year’s Perini Navi Cup, taking place in Sardinia’s Porto Cervo from August 28 to 31. The latest collaboration between Ron Holland and Perini Navi, the 60m superyacht Seahawk, also attended the 2013 event.
Representing the pinnacle rendezvous of the annual Maxi yacht racing calendar, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup continues to set the high standards, being attended by the finest sailors, most passionate owners, and beautiful yachts.
This year’s Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup was marked by the overall victory of the Baltic 112′ superyacht Nilaya in the SuperMaxi category. She has been designed by Nauta Yachts and Reichel Pugh.
Igor Simcic, owner of superyacht Esimit Europa 2, was awarded for a great success of his crew at the official prize giving ceremony, held at the Royal Ocean Racing Club in London.
The winners of the final day at the 2013 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup were: Sailing yacht Rán 2 (GBR) in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship with a bullet and a second; superyacht Velsheda in J-Class; luxury yacht Morning Glory in Maxi Racing; charter yacht Nefertiti in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Nilaya in Supermaxi; and, luxury yacht Open Season in Wally.
The winners of Racing Day 5 of the currently running Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup were: sailing yacht Rán 2 in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Rainbow in J-Class; luxury yacht Aegir in Maxi Racing; sailing yacht Altair in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Firefly in Supermaxi; and, J-One yacht in Wally.

Yesterday, September 2, saw the first day of racing at the 2013 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup. Day 1 winners have become: sailing yacht Alegre in the Mini Maxi Rolex World Championship; superyacht Velsheda in J-Class; sailing yacht Highland Fling in Maxi; luxury yacht Altair in Maxi Racing/Cruising; superyacht Nilaya in Supermaxi and J-One in Wally.
The majestic 50-metre superyacht Silencio took the overall victory at this year’s Perini Navi Cup, successfully concluded over the weekend. She was followed by charter yacht P2 and luxury yacht Parsifal IV, taking second and third place place, respectively.
The highly anticipated Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup 2013 is set to commence today, on September 2, 2013. A total number of 37 maxi yachts will be participating in this popular event. The largest attending yacht is the 157-foot superyacht Nativa.
