The first race of The Superyacht Cup Palma 2014 saw superyacht Hanuman and Lionheart yacht share the King’s 100 Guinea Cup, with charter yacht Ranger taking an arbitration penalty after a port-starboard incident.
This year’s Superyacht Cup Palma was marked by a fantastic start. The event is being attended by five luxury vessels built by Claasen Shipyards: charter yacht Atalante, Heartbeat, sailing yacht Lionheart, Drumfire and Firefly yacht.
For the first time this year, the Superyacht Cup Palma will be sponsored by the prominent Italian shipyard, Perini Navi. Their impressive 45-metre luxury yacht Clan VIII will participate in the regatta, starting today, on June 18.
The Panerai Classic Yachts Challenge has arrived in Argentario, Italy and will start with the first race on Thursday, June 19th 2014, finishing on the 22nd June 2014. More than 50 classic yachts have already entered the 16th Argentario Sailing Week.
The currently running Giraglia Rolex Cup will enter its final phase today, on Wednesday, June 18, with the start of the 241-nm offshore race. This is expected to host some 213 yachts – a new record fleet.
Today, June 18, 2014, will see five outstanding J-Class yachts – Hanuman, Lionheart, charter yacht Ranger, Rainbow and Velsheda – attend the historic King’s Hundred Guinea Cup, before joining the 26 strong Superyacht Cup Palma fleet.
A total number of 7 luxury vessels designed by Nauta Yachts attended the 2014 Loro Piana Superyacht Regatta. These included the lovely Grande Orazio yacht and Cape Arrow superyacht, both built by Southern Wind Shipyard.
