Next month’s Dubai International Boat Show 2015 will feature the lovely 70 Sunreef Power charter yacht DAMRAK II by Sunreef Yachts. Launched in 2011, this luxury catamaran is currently available for sale.
Naval architects Harun Kemali and Gürbüz Bilici, in collaboration with final year architecture student Işık Gören, have superbly penned the 45m super yacht Oceanaid concept. Environmentally friendly, high-tech and fast, the vessel is fitted with a diesel-electric propulsion system, driving two pod drives beneath the hull.
Superyacht Lamima has been nominated for the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2015 in the ‘Sailing Yacht over 30 Metres’ and the ‘Interior Design Award – Sailing Yacht’ categories. The vessel is an Indonesian gaff-ketch traditional phinisi, beautifully designed by Marcelo Penna Yacht Design.
Registration for this year’s Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous will close on January 30, 2015. Set to run in the beautiful Virgin Gorda yacht vacation location from March 11 to 14, the popular Caribbean regatta will host such outstanding vessels as the 60m Perini Navi charter yacht Seahawk.

Turkish shipyard, AvA Yachts, is currently at the final stages of construction of the 27 metre ice-class explorer yacht Svetlana, scheduled for launch in May 2015. This lovely vessel has been entirely designed by the yard’s in-house team.
St.Maarten Heineken Regatta 2015 has already attracted entries from 20 different countries. The majestic Brazilian Schooner Atrevida is likely to be the oldest yacht participating in the St.Maarten Heineken Regatta, and measuring 95ft in LOA, also one of the largest vessels to attend.
The majestic 58m (190′) was launched as the world’s first hybrid superyacht by Royal Huisman in 2008. Since then, she has been successfully operating in hybrid mode for quite some time, just like the 46m (152′) Royal Huisman ketch Elfje.
Adam Voorhees has proudly announced the contract and refit design for the 26m fast super yacht SAPPHIRE KNIGHT project. Currently under construction at the Seaway yard in Monfalcone, Italy, the project is taking a 25-metre racing yacht as the starting platform, with naval architecture by Bruce Farr.
