RORC Caribbean 600 Yacht Race: Day 4

Day 4 of the RORC Caribbean 600 saw 19 complete the race, with 43 yachts still racing. Sailing yacht Rambler 88 has scored the best corrected time, followed by Mike Slade’s Farr 100 charter yacht Leopard.

A great success of British companies at ShowBoats Design Awards 2015

It has been a huge success for the British companies at the recent ShowBoats Design Awards 2015. British Marine Federation (BMF) members, Redman Whiteley Dixon (RWD) and Design Unlimited, have been honoured with the Neptune trophies for motor yacht Como and sailing yacht WinWin, respectively.

Mast for J Class J8 Yacht arrives at Holland Jachtbouw

The impressive 54m mast for the new 43m J Class super yacht J8 has recently reached Holland Jachtbouw in Zaandam, the Netherlands. This majestic vessel is due to be launched in Spring 2015.

RORC Caribbean 600 Yacht Race: Day 3

This year’s RORC Caribbean 600 saw Lloyd Thornburg’s MOD 70 sailing yacht Phaedo3 break the multihull race record, when crossing the finish line in an elapsed time of 1 day, 9 hours, 35 minutes and 30 seconds. George David’s Juan K designed sailing yacht Rambler 88 was the next boat to finish, at 06:35:12 AST on 25th February 2015, taking Monohull Line Honours.

Sailing yacht ALCANARA with new full paint job by Absolute Boat Care

Built by S E Ward & Co to a design by Dubois in 2008, the 29-metre luxury yacht Alcanara has recently splashed in Port Adriano, following a full paint job by Absolute Boat Care.

The all-new website has been proudly launched by Lorenzo Argento from Brenta Design. Lorenzo has designed the superb 80ft super yacht Brenta 80 DC, presently in build at the all-new German shipyard, Michael Schmidt Yachtbau.

Holland Jachtbouw – a New Partner of the J Class Association

J Class Association has recently welcomed the prestigious Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw as its new Partner. The yard is currently working on the all-new J Class yacht, due to be launched in Spring 2015.

RORC Caribbean 600 Yacht Race: Day 2

Day 2 of the RORC Caribbean 600 saw the vast majority of the 64-strong fleet negotiate the chicane of islands to the northern end of the course. At dawn, sailing yacht Adela and charter yacht Athos were side-by-side entering the Anguilla Channel.

Eleven Dubois Superyachts confirmed for Dubois Cup 2015 so far

A total number of 11 Dubois-designed vessels have registered for the upcoming 5th Dubois Cup so far. These include the 46m sailing yacht Ganesha, the 50m luxury yacht Ohana and the 53m superyacht Nirvana.
