Measuring 30 meters in LOA, the luxury sailing yacht Esimit Europa 2 and her 18 crew have broken another record, following a huge success at the Giraglia Rolex Cup. Departing from Monaco, this spectacular sloop reached Porto Cervo in Sardinia in incredible 5 hours 11 minutes 17 seconds.
The overall winner of the 2012 Newport Bucket Regatta has become the 102ft sailing yacht Indio, designed by German Frers and built by Wally. She has also won in her Gazelles class, while Sejaa yacht took first place in the Mademoiselle class. The next year’s regatta will run from August 23 to 25.
Following her last visit in New York in May, the 157ft classic sailing yacht Pride of Baltimore II arrived at Dennis Conner’s North Cove on August 24 to welcome the visitors aboard for free educational dockside deck tours.
