Day 1 of the Loro Piana Caribbean Regatta & Rendezvous was marked by perfect sailing conditions. Superyacht Inoui had taken Class honours, followed by Freya and charter yacht P2, while fourth and fifth placed yachts Ganesha and Cape Arrow were separated by a single second.
Racing at the Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous 2015 will begin in the fantastic Virgin Gorda yacht vacation location today, Thursday 12 March. The largest vessel to compete will be the 58,6m Perini Navi charter yacht Seahawk.
An impressive fleet of Superyachts started to reach the fabulous Virgin Gorda yacht holiday location for the 2015 Loro Piana Caribbean Superyacht Regatta and Rendezvous. These include Vitters yachts Inoui, Marie and Ganesha, as well as Royal Huisman sailing yacht Wisp.
Wild Group International have successfully completed the wrap of the all-new 70-foot racing trimaran Phaedo3, launched earlier this year. The company was commissioned to wrap the vessel in chrome and electric lime green in Brittany.
This year’s Rolex Swan Cup Caribbean was marked by excellent sailing conditions. Swan 80 superyacht Selene (CAY) and James Blakemore’s Swan 53 yacht Music (GBR) were confirmed as the two Class winners. Next year’s regatta will be held in the lovely Sardinia yacht charter location – Porto Cervo from 12-18 September.
The Italian Sea Group has been shortlisted to participate in the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2015 with the Silent 76 super yacht Gigreca, competing in the ‘Sailing Yacht up to 30 Metres’ and the ‘Interior Design Award – Sailing Yacht’ categories.
Superyacht Oyster 825 will be displayed at next month’s London Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show as the largest sailing yacht in the line-up of boats in the on-water display at St Katharine Docks.
