Superyacht SUNRAYS, built by Oceanco has won the 2010 ISS Design and Leadership Award for Best Power Yacht in the 65m+ category. The award, which represents a superlative achievement, was presented on the first night of the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, at the 20th Anniversary ISS Awards Gala.
Southern Wind’ superyacht Kiboko, the first SW 94 was launched in Cape Town, on October 31st, 2010. Reichel Pugh Yacht Design was responsible for sailing yacht Kiboko’s Naval Architecture) and the general concept was designed by Nauta Design.
Lürssen shipyard launched the 68m superyacht Hermitage. The 2010 Lürssen motor yacht Hermitage was designed by Espen Oeino and features an Andrew Winch designed interior.
Maritime Concept and Construction’s (MCC) new 46-meter motor yacht MAZU was just launched in China. Superyacht Mazu is the second yacht in the Marco Polo series, built at the Cheoy Lee Shipyard in China.
World’s largest and most innovative cruise ship, The Allure of the Seas was delivered on 28 October 2010, by STX’s Turku Shipyard to the American shipowners Royal Caribbean International. Allure of the Seas is the sister ship of Oasis of the Seas delivered a year ago.
Feadship Royal Van Lent has sold the fourth yacht in its F45 Vantage custom-series, superyacht Galdiator (ex Sirius). The next F45 Vantage custom-series by Feadship is scheduled for completion in the spring of 2011.
With more than 200 nominations for The Showboat Design Awards 2010, it was an incredibly tough task for the experienced panel, however the 2010 winners have been selected.
Trinity Yachts have announced the recommencement of construction for superyacht hull T059, a 164’ (50m) Aluminum trideck motor yacht. The construction contract for the 50m superyacht T059 was signed in December 2007 but the build was postponed by mutual agreement between Trinity Yachts and the Owner in August 2009. Delivery of the megayacht is now scheduled for 2012.
The Nordhavn 76 motor yacht Eliana was delivered to its owners a few weeks ago. Built at the Ta Shing shipyard, motor yacht Eliana features interior design by Scott Cole. The yacht is a portrait in contemporary styling and mechanical design savvy, and features a number of Nordhavn firsts on both fronts.
Trinity Yachts has delivered superyacht Mia Elise, their fourth superyacht in 2010. Motor yacht Mia Elise (Hull No. T055) measures 49.9m, designed by the in-house team at Trinity Yachts with interior styling by the renowned Patrick Knowles. M/Y Mia Elise will make her debut during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2010. (FLIBS)
Superyacht Cakewalk, America’s flagship completed her maiden voyage from Connecticut to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, arriving on Sunday. The Derecktor motor yacht Cakewalk has ahead of schedule for her debut during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Vitters’ built 55m (180 ft) classic ketch Marie features a combination of classic lines with optimized performance. Sailing yacht Marie has set sail for the Carribbean where she will be available for luxury yacht charters and race charters.
