The first hull of the Mangusta 148′ ‘Oceano’ motor yacht arrived at the Viareggio facilities of Overmarine last week. American Cruise Lines announced the name of its brand new 140 passenger Mississippi sternwheeler – Queen of the Mississippi – currently under construction and two months ahead of schedule at Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corp. in Salisbury, MD. American Cruise Lines has also unveiled the first renderings of the ship’s interior, including those of the future dining salon, Paddlewheel Lounge and passenger staterooms.
The 5th Antibes Yacht Show took place in the largest harbour in Europe, Antibes from April 7th – 10th, 2011. The event marks the start of the charter season in the Mediterranean and if the show is a barometer for the rest of the season as many say, then we can be looking forward to a great season in the yachting industry.
Italian superyacht builder Rossi Navi has a 46 meter yacht hull number FR025 under construction that is expected to be completed and delivered in 2012. The 46.35-meter yacht features exterior lines drawn by the well known Frank Mulder with an interior concept created by design Studio Spadolini.
