Saturday 30th June 2011 saw a new entry to the J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race: the 49.5m charter yacht Eleonora, launched in March 2000 by the Dutch Van der Graaf shipyard. This amazing vessel will be sailed by famous Ben Ainslie, that will co-helm with the vessel´s owner, helped by the vessel´s captain Mike McMillan.
The Swan 60 yacht Bronenosec, from the Yacht Club of Saint Petersburg has made her debut at her first international yacht regatta of 2012 at Mapfre Palma Vela, achieving 7th place in the Overall maxi Combined Class.
Last Thursday saw successful sea trials for the 39m luxury motor yacht Megaway 128, built by Megaway Engineering & Trading, with lovely interior by Monica Gunawan. On display at this year´s Singapore Yacht Show, this fantastic vessel easily sleeps 12 guests in 6 stunning cabins and a crew of 8 in 4 crew cabins.
The Falmouth Regatta will be finally attended only by the four J-Class superyachts and not the six as expected, without the presence of the sailing yacht Hanuman as well as the charter yacht Endeavour. The latter is supposed to race only in the Solent regattas.
