Dream Ship Victory shipyard signed a contract after taking part in the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show to build 141m Dream Symphony Yacht, with naval architecture by Dykstra & Partners and design and styling by Ken Freivokh Design. On the 9th of February, the builders, designers and naval architects of the 141m Dream Symphony Yacht – the largest private sailing yacht ever met in Amsterdam to finalise the design and technical proposal under the direction of Valeriy Stepanenko.
Westport has launched the latest Westport 164 series motor yacht Wabi Sabi. The yacht features exterior styling and interior design by Donald Starkey with naval architecture by William Garden. Yacht Wabi Sabi was built under hull number 5008 and is the 8th yacht in the American yard Westport’s 164 range.
Two 48.40 Sloops with naval architecture by Tripp Design are currently in build at the Italian Arzana Navi Yard. The 48m sailing yachts were developed based on in-depth market analysis, which revealed an underexploited segment of the superyacht market; that of owners desiring the amenities of a powerboat together with the excitement of a modern sailing yacht.
The 37m superyacht Arion, Chantier Naval Couach’s first launch of 2011 has been launched at Port de Larros near Arcachon, France. Yacht Arion is the 6th hull of the sporty Couach 3700 Fly series, designed by the CNC in-house design team and Exequiel Cano Lanza.

2011 marks a milestone for the Proteksan Turquoise shipyard with three superyacht deliveries planned in the first three quarters. First to enter the water is the new 55.4 m (182ft) motor yacht Turquoise with exterior design by Dubois Yachts and interior design by Hoek Design Naval Architects and Suntay Design (Turkey). Yacht Turquoise (Hull NB52) was designed as a repeat order from the original owner of Turquoise built in 1994.

Known locally as “The Big One”, Alloy Yachts today launched superyacht Vertigo. After 29 months of hard work by the team at Alloy Yachts, the 67.2m (220ft) Vertigo sailing yacht slipped into the waters at the base of the Alloy Yachts yard this morning.
Delta Marine has announced the construction of a new 50-meter, full-displacement motor yacht hull number 164041. Designed and engineered by the Delta Design Group, this sleek 50m motor yacht is more than 750 gross tons ITC with a large interior volume, plenty of deck space, and the ability to safely travel the world’s oceans with fortitude and grace. This will be the sixth yacht built to Delta’s proven hull design with large tank volumes and extended range needed for transoceanic cruising.
A South Korean design firm CanariaOcean has unveiled a new superyacht concept, with styling inspiration from the “Blue Rorqual”, which they have named the “Blue Whale”. The Blue Whale motor yacht measures 37m with a beam of 9.6 m and a 2.2m draft. She will be able to accommodate up to 6 guests in 3 double cabins and have a crew of 3. It has been designed to attain a speed of up to 30 knots per hour thanks to twin 2500hp MTU engines.
Vicem Yachts is expanding its horizons beyond mahogany into high-tech composite construction with three new sleek, fast super yachts in the Vulcan Line, the Vulcan 46, Vulcan 35 and the Vulcan 32 m. For these Vulcan mega-yachts the Turkish yard signs two additional agreements with Wetzels Brown & Partners and Ken Freivokh. The Wetzels Brown Dutch design team will be involved in the interior design of the Vulcan 32 mt RPH. The UK based Freivokh team will develop the 35 mt Tri-Deck interior design works. Art-Line has been involved with the 46 meter yacht since its inception.
In 2008 Vicem Yachts embarked on a development program for the new Vulcan Line of mega-yachts over 100’/30 meters with the sole resources of internal capital financing. Vicem is undertaking an important business expansion plan and is enlarging its horizons beyond mahogany construction into high-tech composite construction with three new sleek, fast motor yachts, including a Vulcan 46m (151ft) superyacht, a Vulcan 35m (118ft) motor yacht and Vulcan 32m (105ft) yacht. All three yachts will be launched between 2011 and 2012.
