The 2012 ISS Design Awards finalist have been announced today, with the winners to be announced on the 25th October at the ISS’s annual International Design Awards Gala.
Measuring 55 meters in length, the highly innovative catamaran yacht Project Oxygen is a result of an excellent partnership between BMT Nigel Gee and Claydon Reeves. Featuring a state-of-the-art Extreme Semi-SWATH (XSS) hullform, Oxygen is a splendid dive-explorer, boasting its own submarine.
Pendennis Palma is celebrating its first anniversary. This successful refit facility based at STP in Palma de Mallorca has already completed over 10 refits. These include charter yachts Nostromo and Andromeda La Dea, as well as superyacht Gloria by Jongert. From October 2012, the company will also start working on the 1928 classic motor yacht Fair Lady.
At the moment, three luxury vessels built by Horizon Yachts are being delivered to Florida to be presented at the upcoming Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. These include the PC60 power catamaran yacht La Manguita, E56 yacht as well as the E88 skylounge yacht Arabella II.
In addition to wide range of exhibitors to attend this year’s boat shows in Monaco and Fort Lauderdale will belong the prominent French shiyard, JFA Yachts. In Monaco, the company will present its newest Long Island 100 yacht, as well as two magnificent, well known models: motor yacht Axantha II and superyacht Zeepaard (ex Axantha I).
The newest 85 Sunreef Power yacht is the latest concept, developed by the Polish yard Sunreef Yachts, after a huge success of the 70 Sunreef Power charter yacht Damrak II. Currently in build with launch in 2013, this lovely catamaran offers comfortable and spacious accommodation, as well as all the amenities of a luxury superyacht such as the popular Spa Pool.
Sunreef Yachts have signed an order for the third 60 Sunreef Power unit, only few days after the launch of the first – charter yacht Ewhala.
The newly-launched luxury catamarans by Sunreef Yachts, the 60 Sunreef Power yacht EWHALA as well as the 70 Sunreef Power yacht SKYLARK were officially presented during the cocktail reception at Hilton Hotel in Gdansk on 18th August. Both splendid vessels will be on display at the upcoming Cannes International Boat Show, held this September.
In build at the ORACLE TEAM USA base at Pier 80 as required by the America’s Cup rules, the first of the two wingsail catamarans, AC72 yacht is due to be launched by the end of this month.
