Oceana places hundreds of sensors for measuring toxic hydrocarbon pollution around the BP Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. This project will enable scientists to detect the toxic fraction of petroleum hydrocarbons dissolved into the water.

The vessel is the first of the three models of the same series and will be constructed by Kingship of Hong Kong.
