MYBA -The Worldwide Yachting Association is pleased to announce the completion of another successful charter show in Genoa from May 2 – 6 2011. A total of 79 yachts were presented with standards and quality of the exhibiting yachts was exceptionally high with many brand new yachts having only just left the yard. The Show remains a unique opportunity for charter brokers to view charter yachts available for the season ahead.

Sailing yacht Endeavour, the magnificent replica of Captain James Cook’s ship, HMB Endeavour, was escorted out of Sydney Harbour by a fleet of Olympic class Laser yachts to mark the vessel’s flagship role in Fremantle during the Perth 2011 ISAF Sailing World Championships in December.
The 71m ‘HydroTec Global Explorer’ motor yacht designed by Hydro Tec is to be built by the Italian shipyard Palumbo. The 71.10m (233.27ft) Global Explorer yacht is a high volume expedition vessel, designed to circumnavigate the world. To be built to RINA class and MCA compliant, the Hydrotec Global Explorer has a build time of 30-36 months.
The 208 ft, / 63.4 meter Expedition motor yacht by Delta Marine known under the project name 200040 is currently in build with delivery scheduled during 2011. The 208 ft, / 63.4 meter Expedition motor yacht project 200040 was the first hull to be built at the new metal hull facility at Delta North. She is a steel and composite expedition yacht with diesel electric propulsion and dynamic positioning. Delta designed the yacht to have no geographic limitations and to meet the latest in environmental standards, including a comprehensive waste management plan, responding to the trend for more self-sufficiency and ‘greener’ superyachts.
Motor yacht PEGASO, is a 73.60m (241.47ft) private research expedition yacht, built and launched at the shipyard P. Freire de Vigo Galicia Spain in 2010 and will be delivered in 2011. The superyacht PEGASO features naval architecture by BMT Nigel Gee and Associates, exterior Design by H2 Yacht Design (UK) and interior design work from Mark Berryman. This extraordinary vessel M/Y PEGASO can be seen in the following photos and video, captured last week in the water close to the Freire Shipyard in Vigo, Spain.
The Naumachos 105ft explorer yacht that is currently in build at the Cantiere Navale di Pesaro yard features a rugged design by Hydro Tec with interior styling by Studio Cichero. The Naumachos 105 yacht boasts a full displacement steel hull with zero speed stabilization and a light alloy superstructure. The yacht has an optional diesel electric hybrid propulsion system, constructed with the intention of having a minimal impact on the environment and a ‘go anywhere mentality’ with a large cruising range of 4,000 – 9,000 nm combined with Italian interior design style.
The 110m Explorer Motor Yacht Concept by J Kinder Yacht Design is a typical explorer superyacht concept. The main superstructure volume is located forward combined with large free deck areas at the aft. The immense deck spaces function exclusively for leisure and features a 12 metre long swimming pool. The helipad of the aft deck is functional, laid out for landing and take-off only. Neither the helicopter nor the tenders should interfere in the all-over appearance.

JFA Shipyard launched a 43m motor yacht designed by Vripack on Saturday 19th March 2011. Built under hull number 22C, the all-aluminium expedition superyacht measures 43m (141ft) and will undergo sea trials before being delivered to her owner by June 2011.
