The 47.21m replica schooner Y105 has been launched by the Spanish shipyard Factoria Naval Marin (FNM) at their shipyard in Marin over the weekend. The FNM yacht Y105 is a replica of sailing yacht Germania, the schooner designed in 1908 by Max Oertz for the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. With her Spars included, she has a full length of 59.60m and features a steel hull with wooden deckhouses and rig and two masts.
MCP Yachts recently signed contracts for the construction of two Classic 76 motor yachts (hulls 086 and 087). Both Vessels are entering the structural phase, at MCP yard with the aluminum plates being cut by MCP CNC plasma cutting machine.
Going above and beyond standard regulations to accommodate students with physical disabilities, Oliver Hazard Perry Rhode Island (OHPRI) has appointed Robie Pierce (Newport, R.I.) the Accessibility Director for Rhode Island’s Education at Sea school ship SSV Oliver Hazard Perry. Pierce, who is well known for his activism within the community of sailors with physical disabilities, will be a consultant during the construction of the ship, which is currently undergoing hull modifications at Promet Marine Services in Providence.
The 33.9m Classic Sailing yacht Annagine has left for her maiden voyage to the Mediterranean after intensive and successful sea trials on the North Sea. Superyacht Annagine is a 34 metre (111 ft) sailing yacht designed by Dykstra & Partners Naval Architects and built by JOM in Holland.
J Craft boats marked its inaugural display at the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show (17th-21st February 2011) with the sale of four of its 42ft luxury ‘Torpedo’ motor launches. Offers for the two display boats, La Decadence and yacht Emmanuelle were received within hours of the show opening. By the close of the show, papers had been signed on two of J Craft’s own demonstrators as well as two brand new boats.

This month they have welcomed the 80ft Hoek Truly Classic Yacht Mulligan to thier yard. S/Y Mulligan is a classic sailing yacht built in 1996 designed by Andre Hoek.
The J Class yachts VELSHEDA, sailing yacht RANGER and S/Y SHAMROCK V will be participating in the J CLASS NEWPORT REGATTA, the first of a series of global J Class events, culminating in the Hundred Guinea Cup race, Cowes 2012.
Benetti have launched their newly restyled Classic 121’ semi-custom motor yacht range in Viareggio. The Benetti Classic 121’ motor yacht hull number BC125 is the first model of the Classic 121 range, and the second overall to be released in the new Benetti Class Range. Moonen Shipyards in the Netherlands has successfully completed the refit of the Moonen 52 Trojan motor yacht, originally launched in 1988. Having already enjoyed both the experiences and results of an earlier refit at the yard, the owner of the Moonen 52 Trojan, decided to return to Moonen for a wide range of work.
