Rondal is excited to announce that the Baltic 175 superyacht Pink Gin VI and the new Project 397 yacht, currently in build at Royal Huisman, will feature the innovative new Rondal Carbon Fibre hatch MKII. This maintains the high quality standards that the company’s customers appreciate so much, while reducing costs through smart engineering and a more streamlined production process, additionally enhancing styling as well as durability.

The flush hatches are produced in a single mould using prepreg material of full carbon, carbon/glass or full glass laminate. They will be available in all size ranges, with deck camber and with tops that can be covered with teak, glass or acrylic.

Handles and catch blocks have been redesigned to ensure a modern and more stylish look. The concealed hinge design has been upgraded, but continues to offer the reassuring feel of Rondal strength as well as reliability.

Sales manager, Bas Peute, comments: “I am convinced that these product innovations will make Rondal increasingly competitive in the composite hatch market. I can even foresee that, given the modest premium and all the benefits of no corrosion, lower maintenance, lighter weight and enhanced durability, Rondal composite hatches will become strong competition for aluminium hatches and maybe a substitute in the future.”

Come and see Rondal in the Holland Pavilion during the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show in September.
