Beautifully designed by Pierre J. KUBIS Designs, the all-new 77-metre explorer motor yacht YERSIN has been christened in the Principality of Monaco this month. The naming ceremony, during which the François Fiat’s YERSIN yacht was blessed by the Vicar General of Monaco, was also attended by HSH Prince Albert II.

Named in honor of Doctor Alexandre Yersin, expedition yacht YERSIN has been designed in accordance with the values of the La Belle Classe Superyachts. She will be used as a tool for the project named ASE – stands for Adventure, Science & Education.

Based on the requirements of her experienced owner, mega yacht YERSIN has been designed by PJ KUBIS designs in partnership with the engineering department of the Piriou Shipyard, also responsible for the construction of this impressive vessel.

The unusual exterior lines of YERSIN superyacht take inspiration from the ships of the beginning of the 20th century. The yellow funnel and hydroplane complete the almost vertical bow, tensed waters entries, a small bulb on a bronze grey hull, topped by flow and sober superstructures shape with her Portuguese bridge to result in an identifiable and assumed exploration vessel.

Luxury motor yacht YERSIN also takes inspiration from the desire of adventure and Owner’s childhood dreams. These include three legendary characters: Tintin, the Commandant Cousteau, as well as the Prince Albert 1er.

Destined for sailing, exploring and teaching, explorer yacht YERSIN has been designed and built to navigate from the polar cold to the extreme heat in maximum comfort, while respecting the environment. The interiors feature the finest natural materials and certified wood, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The interiors of luxury yacht YERSIN feature a mix of oak and Zebrano linings, ceilings lacquered staff to aged oak wood floor with wool carpet, belted of stainless steel and leather stripes, to always create a serene and relaxing atmosphere.

The main deck provides direct access to the vertical circulation column with an elevator and guest stairs, which connect lower and top decks. There is also a gymnasium and spa, comfortable guest cabins and the Owner’s lounges, including the external deck and suite, in addition to the wheelhouse deck and the sun deck.

Pierre Jacques Kubis graduated in interior design at the French Ecole Boulle, the leading school for artistic crafts and applied arts, as well as in naval design at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture, the national college of architecture in Nantes. He regularly works with such iconic protagonists in the marine industry as Martin Francis Design and JFA Yachts.
