October 2013 saw eight superyacht professionals cycle 800km from Antibes to Palma in five days as the Cogs for Cancer team. They raised €111,804.87 in aid of Cancer Research UK. Two months on, they are gearing up to do it again in 2014.

Steve Crowe of Yachting Pages Media Group, John Clark of Yachtwrap, Sarah ‘Dawsy’ Dawson of Fashion Wagon, Robbie Maguire, captain of M/Y Happy Hour, Ben Young of Sunseeker Superyacht Management, Wayne Jones, captain of M/Y Rhino A, plus Adrian Long and Lee Mutch from Inter-Nett made up the team of 2013. They have put a shout out to the superyacht industry to make the team bigger and better for next year.

In early October 2014, Cogs4Cancer are planning to cycle from Ancona to Antibes – a total of around 850 KM in 5 days. Can you commit and help beat their fantastic total of €111,804.87 raised earlier in the year?

Steve Crowe, managing director at Yachting Pages said
, “I am delighted to be riding in next year’s Cogs for Cancer charity bike ride and look forward to the challenge of an extra 50 KM. If next year’s team is as hard working as 2013’s, I have absolutely no doubt we will succeed in beating the total of €111,804.87.”

All riders need to bring at least €5,000 sponsorship to qualify to ride, as well as take part in sufficient training to enable them to complete all 850 KM. If you are interested in making a difference, your entry will need to be submitted by 15th January 2014. After this date the final list of successful riders will be drawn at random and announced.
