2012 Progressive Insurance Chicago In-Water Boat Show

The 1st Annual Progressive Insurance Chicago In-Water Boat Show, running from June 7 to 10, 2012 is the midwest´s largest in-water boat show and the only on-water event organised by Chicago in June, with more than 100 boats on display.

Taking place at 31st Street Harbour, Chicago’s newest state-of-the-art marina, the 1st annual Progressive Insurance Chicago In-Water Boat Show is the city’s only on-water event in June and the ideal place to start summer and sail into the boating lifestyle. Visitors have the possibility to browse, buy as well as test-drive over 100 boats, from luxury yachts and sailboats to family cruisers and performance boats, plus kick off summer with on-the-water fun with free boating rides, courses and nautical entertainment.

The in-water boat show is one of the biggest additions to Chicago’s summer event lineup, offering Chicagoans and visitors alike an all-access pass to discover boating on Lake Michigan.

Highlights of the 2012 Progressive Insurance Chicago In-Water Boat Show include: deals on hundreds of boats, the newest marine accessories and Midwest travel destinations; the Discover Boating Demo Dock offering complimentary boating courses or rides along Lake Michigan; the Try It Cove featuring demos and lessons in Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP), kayaking and sailing; Scuba Diving for ages 10 and up; big boats including a 65 ft. houseboat (on Lake Michigan?!); and entertainment for all ages.
